NEIPP was begun in 1961 as a committee of the Professional
Photographers of New England (PPANE). The committee was formed by a
group of dedicated volunteer members whose primary goal was to make affordable
education available to aspiring professional photographers. NEIPP is
nonprofit and is administered by a paid Director and Registrar under the
direction of a volunteer Board of Trustees. One Trustee is appointed
from each of the six New England States plus a representative from the Canadian
Provinces served by NEIPP. Each year a faculty of leading photographic
instructors are invited to share their knowledge and experience with the
students during the March school session.
The goal of NEIPP is to offer a selection of courses covering
all aspects of professional photography and business management which will aid
the newer as well as the more experienced photographer to be more successful.
NEIPP does not discriminate on the basis of race,
creed, color, gender or national origin.
